Just want to say that your unique voice in respect to the political dimensions of football is one of the things I love the most about your content. Sucks that most football writing orgs don't value that as much as they should. Wishing you all the best and glad that at least for now we still get to enjoy your stuff. Thanks for everything Arif.

Probably because “fans” are pushing back against politics invading sports.

I’m sorry this happened to you Arif - more then happy to support your work here.

You’ve given out a lot of free content over the years - I should probably start to pay it back. At least a little

Good luck Arif

Best of luck! Any friend of Dane Moore is a worthy sports writer to follow.

I'll ask the obvious question - What does this mean for Arif's Bee Corner? Should I subscribe for more Bee Corner content?

Been listening since ALAFM, and you are my favorite sports writer/podcaster out there. Can't wait to read what you publish here!

I'm reading this months late, but I just wanna say that you're by far my favourite sportswriter, you've enhanced my enjoyment of following the Vikings by a ton, and I'm grateful that you're doing what you're doing on something approaching your own terms (as far as possible within the context of capitalist production etc etc etc). You're fucking great, Arif. Keep being great. Thank you.

Arif, I have been following your work since the Daily Norseman days. Count me among the, "long time listener, first time caller" crowd. With news of your firing and now starting out in reader a supported format, I feel quite compelled to come out of my dusty wood work and let you know how impactful your work has been on me over the years. I was homebound with a severe head injury when I stumbled into your writing those many years ago. Football was the only thing my brain could focus on and I craved, like you, more meaningful analysis. Your writing and audio shows completely changed how I thought about football.

Even further, the older I get and the more I begin to analyze my own political ideology amidst the back drop of this countries, I find your political voice to be just as insightful.

Your voice is one that I hope to keep hearing

Here for the football content AND thoughtful political commentary, best of luck Arif.

Arif, I hope you’re doing well. I rarely engage but have followed your work for years and you were the sole reason I subscribed to Zone Coverage, the Athletic, and why I have a Patreon account. You provide top notch work that’s informative and thought provoking. I’m excited that this change of medium will showcase your talents even more so and I’m really thankful that you are not retiring from writing (but, of course, do what you need to do!).

Also, selflessly, I’m glad you’re no longer at PFN as that web design was horrid and a complete 180 from the early days of the Athletic!

Best of luck! I’ll continue to follow you wherever.

Omg agreed on the PFN web design. Horrendous...almost inexcusable in 2023. I only ever went via direct link to articles because of it.
