UDFA Rookies Who Shined in Preseason Week 2
Emanuel Wilson, Running Back, Green Bay Packers
Last week, Emanuel Wilson made the list as an honorable mention after he ripped off a big run for 80 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. His non-explosive runs totaled 31 yards on five carries, which wasn’t bad either. This week he makes the list outright after increasing his workload and showing consistency as a runner.
Against the Patriots, he averaged 2.87 yards per carry after contact, an impressive number for any kind of back but especially for big-play guys like Wilson, and he showed off vision and elusiveness along the way. Adding in two catches for 15 yards along with a little bit of prowess as a blocker means that he might be the kind of player that teams can lean on throughout the game.
How dare you forget (player name)! They have clearly outperformed (star player name). They will be on their way to Canton if (coach name) gives them a fair shot. You are a huge (explative) for this oversight!
